COPPER DOOR ROASTERS | DENVER, CO
_______
COPPER DOOR participates in a program that enables them to pay a voluntary monthly fee on top of their energy bill that’s allocated to the development and support of wind turbine farms throughout Colorado. The amount of the fee is directly related to the amount of energy they consume off the Colorado grid.
_______
The energy produced by the wind farms they support is pumped back into the grid for all to use – increasing the ratio of wind-sourced energy in the grid.
The program, called WINDSOURCE, is a branch of Xcel Energy – a company that provides energy from the entire spectrum of sources including natural gas, coal, nuclear, hydro, wind, and solar. We’re glad that COPPER DOOR chooses to offset 100% of their energy consumption with wind power.
_______
Whatever your favored form of energy, any source deserves the chance to be fairly supplied and judged by the free market as to the value of its use. The WINDSOURCE program is a vehicle for the free market, allowing individuals and businesses access to the wind energy that aligns with their values.
_______
While Copper Door doesn’t scream outdoor brand, they humbly support the Windsource program out their back door.
